According to historical records, this assembly hall was built in the 1690s by a group of Fujian people (China) who came to Hoi An to live. Initially, this assembly hall was just a small temple, worshiping Thien Hau Thanh Mau. After that, the assembly hall began to be built on a larger scale of wood.
